Christ Church Douglas-In-Parbold A warm welcome for our new vicar
	It has been a long wait but our new vicar, Simon Glynn, is finally here. It was a pleasure to welcome Simon and the wait was worthwhile. We all really enjoyed his first 10.00am service. The photographs below were taken after the service. They show Simon and his wife, Clare cutting the welcome cake baked to celebrate the occasion.

	It was also pleasing to meet several new visitors who, intrigued by the sign outside church, had come along to see what the new vicar was like. Indeed there was such a throng around the refreshment table that it was at first quite tricky to take photographs. Below you can see some of the many people who were there on the day.
